What “blocked” means in SMS delivery

“Blocked” is often used as a catch-all term, but several different events can produce the same business outcome: the recipient does not receive the message. A carrier may filter traffic before it reaches the handset. A receiving network may reject a message because the destination number is invalid, disconnected, or unable to receive SMS.
